The world just hit the turbo button and nobody warned us.
Life is changing. Work is changing. You are changing and nobody asked you first.
One week you finally feel like you “get” AI
and the next week AI drops a new trick
that makes your last six months look like cave drawings.
This year moved fast. It felt like a sprint.
Next year will look at this year and say
“so cute.”
Everything is accelerating
not slowly
more like your life accidentally clicked the “skip intro” button
and now you are inside the matrix trying to catch up.
Jobs, habits, skills, careers
they’re all melting, reshaping and respawning as your favourite video game NPCs.
Some people will fight the change.
Some will freeze.
A few will ride it like they’ve been waiting for this their whole life.
My tinyOS for being human:
Stay curious because the rules change every Tuesday
Automate the boring stuff your brain deserves better
Think in systems not to-do lists list don’t scale but systems do
Treat your identity like a beta version always in update mode
Run experiments instead of making plans experiments compound and plans age
Choose momentum over perfection perfection is slow and slow is dead
The world is not slowing down for you.
And honestly
you don’t want it to.
“Alright, let’s play.”
